Less than one week after winning the Ladies' soccer state championship, Saint Louis High School will play for the Ladies' basketball state championship.
Wednesday night in Ruston, #4 Saint Louis defeated #1 Jennings 59-45 in the Class 3A semi-finals. The Lady Saints will face #3 Capitol in the 3A state championship Friday, March 6 at 8pm. That game will be played in Monroe at the Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
Jennings led 15-14 after the first quarter and 28-26 at the half. But the second half belonged to Saint Louis. The Lady Saints outscored the Lady Bulldogs 33-17 after the break.
Saint Louis had four players score in double figures including Jazzmin Smith who had a monster game with 15 points and 21 rebounds. Kiara Etienne scored a game high 17 for Jennings.
