Seven Southwest Louisiana schools were invited to the Ladies' Top 28 state basketball tournament held this week in Monrore and Ruston, and we are now down to six.
Monday #12 Oakdale was defeated by defending state champion, #1 John Curtis 56-35.
John Curtis was in total control during the entire game leading 18-6 after the first period, and 26-12 at the half.
Oakdale was led by Danisha Allison who had a great game in the loss with 16 points and 15 rebounds.
The Lady Warriors finish the season with a record of 18-7.
